Our Unique Approach

At Angel Care, we provide a unique and deeply personal approach to your pet’s cancer treatment. Your beloved companion will never be left alone during care, and we warmly welcome you to stay with them every step of the way, providing comfort and reassurance as a family.

We offer integrative oncology services that bring together the best of conventional medicine and nurturing holistic therapies. By thoughtfully combining these approaches, we create a comprehensive care plan designed to support your pet’s comfort, strength, and overall wellbeing throughout their healing journey. Our focus is on comprehensive healing by pairing advanced medical treatments with natural therapies for better outcomes. We prioritize enhanced comfort through pain management and mobility support to keep your pet happy, and provide holistic support that cares for their physical, emotional, and mental health as a whole.

Clinical Oncology

We provide evidence-based clinical treatments, including standard chemotherapy protocols such as CHOP, tailored to your pet's specific diagnosis. Dr. Kathy Mitchener leverages her deep clinical experience to provide precise and expert medical intervention.

Natural Healing

This approach goes beyond traditional medicine by incorporating specialized nutrition and botanical supplements. These therapies are designed to support the immune system, improve treatment outcomes, and help the body heal from within.

Advanced Diagnostics

Early and accurate detection is critical for effective cancer management. We utilize sophisticated diagnostic tools to monitor progression and refine treatment plans, ensuring we stay ahead of the disease at every stage.

Quality of Life & Comfort

The heart of our mission is ensuring your pet remains comfortable and happy. We focus on palliative care and pain management strategies that prioritize your pet's dignity and the preservation of the human-animal bond.

The Stay-Together Promise: You Are Part of the Team

We believe that your presence is a vital part of the healing process. Because of this, we do not utilize “drop-off” appointments. Our goal is to keep you and your pet together as much as possible throughout their visit.

How Your Visit Works:

The Preparation Phase: There is a brief period at the beginning of the treatment where our medical team will take your pet to a specialized area to get them ready. During this short time, we will insert the IV catheter and administer any necessary medications or a gentle sedative.

Returning to You: As soon as your pet is prepared, we will return them to your side. Typically, they will be comfortably sedated and beginning to fall asleep just as we reunite you.

Safety During Recovery: While your pet is sedated, we ask that they remain resting and do not walk around. This ensures their safety and the stability of their treatment.

Monitoring Together: If your pet begins to wake up from their sedation before we are ready to administer the reversal, please let a member of our team know immediately. We aim to limit movement as much as possible to ensure the treatment is effective and stress-free.

A Comfortable Space for Both of You We want you to feel as relaxed as your pet. You are welcome to sit or lay with them, and our guest Wi-Fi is available if you need to stay connected while they rest.
